Stanstead­Col­lege’s se­nior hockey teams played some ex­cit­ing games, over the week­end, at Stanstead’s Pat Burns Arena. Fri­day night’s home opener saw the boys team vic­to­ri­ous over

with a score of 4 to 1. Drew Pack­man scored the win­ning goal of that game for the Spar­tans. Satur­day’s game against was a lot more com­pet­i­tive with the Spar­tans win­ning 5 to 4 af­ter go­ing to a shoot-out. Win­ning goal was by Jack Pat­ter­son. On Sun­day, the boys trav­elled to Bridg­ton Academy, in Maine, where they won 4 to 1.

The girl Spar­tans were less suc­cess­ful, los­ing their first game on Satur­day night against North Amer­i­can Hockey Academy, from Stowe, Ver­mont, in a shoot-out with a score of 5 to 4. On Sun­day, the girls trav­elled to Nor­wich Univer­sity to play North­wood School, los­ing their The Stanstead Col­lege Spar­tans played over the week­end at the Pat Burns Arena, win­ning both of their games. game 3 to 1. “The girls played well for the week con­sid­er­ing they have two key in­juries and one player was away at the U18 Que­bec train­ing camp,” com­mented the school’s Di­rec­tor of Hockey Op­er­a­tions and Head Coach of the se­nior boys hockey team, James Rioux.
