Exciting Home Openers at PBA
StansteadCollege’s senior hockey teams played some exciting games, over the weekend, at Stanstead’s Pat Burns Arena. Friday night’s home opener saw the boys team victorious over
with a score of 4 to 1. Drew Packman scored the winning goal of that game for the Spartans. Saturday’s game against was a lot more competitive with the Spartans winning 5 to 4 after going to a shoot-out. Winning goal was by Jack Patterson. On Sunday, the boys travelled to Bridgton Academy, in Maine, where they won 4 to 1.
The girl Spartans were less successful, losing their first game on Saturday night against North American Hockey Academy, from Stowe, Vermont, in a shoot-out with a score of 5 to 4. On Sunday, the girls travelled to Norwich University to play Northwood School, losing their The Stanstead College Spartans played over the weekend at the Pat Burns Arena, winning both of their games. game 3 to 1. “The girls played well for the week considering they have two key injuries and one player was away at the U18 Quebec training camp,” commented the school’s Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach of the senior boys hockey team, James Rioux.
This weekend, the senior girls will head to Boston and the boys will go to Providence, Rhode Island.
