Galt holds 42nd an­nual Hockey Tour­na­ment

TheLower Canada Col­lege Li­ons de­feated Loy­ola High School in over­time in the 42nd an­nual Alexan­der Galt High School Tour­na­ment. Justin Oringer scored at the 4:38 mark to win the tour­na­ment for the fourth time. LCC had pre­vi­ously beaten Massey Vanier 2 to 0 in their first game and then de­feated Alexan­der Galt 3 to 0 in the Semi-Fi­nals. Oringer also re­ceived the tour­na­ment MVP tro­phy named af­ter Mr. Bob Arm­strong, a for­mer coach at Lakefield High School and a for­mer Bos­ton Bruin for­ward. Loy­ola had ad­vanced with wins over Col­lege Bre­beuf and St. Thomas. Massey Vanier won the Con­so­la­tion bracket with a 3-1 win over Col­lege Bre­beuf. Vik­ing goalscor­ers were Win­ston Westover, An­thony Moretti and Alex Potvin.
