Nativity scenes at Beaulne

TheBeaulne Museum is delighted to present the exhibit “Follow the star”!...Nativity scenes. From the 15th of December 2013 to the 19th of January 2014. The public and the press are cordially invited to come and view this exhibit.

Unwavering symbol of the nativity, the manger holds our attention during Christmas holidays. Celebrated since the 4th century, it always creates a lot of excitement in families and within society. Nativity scenes come in all shapes and sizes but always in reference to the bible and to Luke 2, 1-19 who recites the birth of Jesus Christ. The almost universal nature of Catholicism allows nativity scenes to be represented according to cultural sensitivity by the people who produced them. This diversity of reproduction has the advantage of providing richness to the theme of the nativity.

This exhibit contains about fifteen mangers of different sizes and provides a quick overview on the subject through objects which will evoke memories. We would like to thank the people who kindly accepted to lend them to the Museum.
