Onof more than 200 pub­li­ca­tions in in­ter­na­tional sci­en­tific jour­nals, nu­mer­ous book chap­ters and edi­tor of the Hand­book of Im­munol­ogy. On the in­ter­na­tional scene, Dr. Fülöp has served on the ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee and par­tic­i­pated in the or­ga­ni­za­tion of three in­ter­na­tional con­gresses on geri­atrics. His ex­per­tise is sought by in­ter­na­tional sci­en­tific jour­nals of geron­tol­ogy. To re­serve for the meal and pre­sen­ta­tion at Hô­tel Le Prési­dent, 3535 King W. in Sher­brooke, con­tact 819837-0192 by April 6. Mem­bers are in­vited to at­tend an im­por­tant meet­ing at 5:30 PM. There is a small charge to at­tend the pre­sen­ta­tion only (7:15 PM). Wed., at 6 PM on April 9, the East­ern Town­ships Cana­dian Club will fea­ture Tamàs Fülöp, M.D., Ph.D., who is a specialist in Geri­atrics and cur­rently Pro­fes­sor of Medicine and Geri­atrics and Se­nior Re­searcher at the Re­search Cen­ter on Ag­ing, Univer­sity of Sher­brooke. His clin­i­cal in­ter­ests are in frailty, neu­rode­gen­er­a­tion, oncoge­ri­atrics and end of life care. Apart from his aca­demic and hospi­tal du­ties, Dr. Fülöp main­tains in­ter­na­tion­ally-rec­og­nized re­search ac­tiv­i­ties on ag­ing. His re­search fo­cuses on un­der­stand­ing the ba­sic rea­sons why the im­mune sys­tem be­comes less ef­fi­cient as hu­mans age. Dr. Fülöp is co-au­thor
