Pet Connection gets boost

Stanstead Journal - - FORUM - Victoria Vanier, Stanstead

Almost seventy people attended last Saturday’s fundraiser at the Café Bar Sans Frontieres, in Stanstead, for Jennifer Young’s Pet Connection service, in Lennoxville. The service brings together people looking for pets with pets that have been abandoned or saved.

“We had a lot of locals and lots of people from Lennoxville. The bar donated $500 and we raised $480 with the Silent Auction that my wife, Jennifer Carrier, took care of. She worked really hard to get a lot of great stuff for the auction,” said Brian Reynolds, the manager of the bar. “All the local businesses donated something and we even had a Voced course from the Lennoxville Vocational Training Centre, worth $200, donated, and lots of homemade goodies. We’d like to thank everyone who donated something,” he added.

Mr. Reynolds hopes to make it an annual fundraiser. “A lot of local people have found their pets through the Pet Connection,” he said.
