Bird feeders popular this winter

Stanstead Journal - - FORUM -

Many bird lovers have noticed an increase in traffic at their bird feeders over the winter. According to local bird expert and author of over twenty books on the subject, André Dion, the reason for the large number of birds feeding at feeders is probably a result of the amount of snow in the region, deep enough to cover many food sources. Mr. Dion’s wife France, also a bird expert, is presently doing a study on Common Redpolls because they have been conspicuously absent this winter from our area.
