Well water ends in Lennoxville

Stanstead Journal - - LEN NOXVILLE NEWS - Victoria Vanier, Sherbrooke, Lennoxville

The City of Sherbrooke has announced that the work to connect together the water supply is complete. The work was done in the last few months on Belvedere South, College Street and Louis-Codere. Consequently, all of the residences of the Borough as well as several residents on College Street, in the Mont-Bellevue Borough, will now get their water from the J.M. Jeanson water treatment station.

This change should have no visible consequences on the citizens. No discoloration of the water or reduction in water pressure was expected. If residents see muddy water when they turn on their taps, it is recommended that they run the water until it looks normal. This new water supply puts an end to the use of the wells which have been supplying water to Lennoxville since the 1970’s.

Owners of buildings or homes with water softeners can now remove this equipment if desired.
