Anne of Green Gables at Stanstead College
The public is invited to a free performance of the classic Canadian story Anne of Green Gables in Pierce Hall at Stanstead College on Thursday, April 17 at 8 p.m.
Written by Lucy Maud Montgomery in 1908 and adapted for the stage by Jody Johnston Davidson, this beloved tale recounts the adventures of Anne Shirley, an orphan mistakenly sent to Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, a middle-aged brother who expected to adopt a boy to help them on their Prince Edward Island farm. Directed by Marilee Andres and Barbara Wilkinson, this non-musical version of the play runs approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, including intermission.
Stanstead’s Amy Murray will star in Anne of Green
Gables, being presented at Stanstead College tomorrow evening.
