Diane Roy took 1 h 43 min 40 sec to finish the Boston Marathon, coming in sixth in the women’s wheelchair category, on Monday. “I didn’t expect such a fast time. I just came back from two months of training in Florida so I was in good shape. I’m satisfied with my finish,” she commented. “The first part of the course went well and I was fast. I lost time in the climbs, but I kept a good average,” said the 43 year-old athlete from Hatley who was competing in her third marathon in three weeks. In Paris her time was 1 hr 58 minutes, and in London it was 1 hr 54 min 54 sec. “With each marathon I was able to improve my time,” she added.
