Caisse holds Annual General Meeting
About one hundred and fifty members attended the annual general meeting of the Caisse Desjardins du Lac Memphremagog on April 22nd at La Ruche high school. The Caisse contributed to the socio-eco- nomic development of the community with partnerships and donations worth $65,000 and a community development fund of $426,500. The assets have increased by 3.6% to reach $759.8 million while the surplus sits at $5.4 million.
Thanks to this surplus, the Caisse will distribute individual returns totalling $1,800,000 to its members. Besides the individual returns, members adopted with a majority the recommendation of the Board of Directors to distribute a community return of $200,000 to the Fonds d’aide au developpement du milieu. This money will allow the Caisse to support new projects who aim to contribute in a significant manner to the sustainable development of the community, to create new jobs, to put in place or maintain local services, to bring new socio-economic activities into the region.
