Asuspectis being sought after a hit-and-run which happened on autoroute 410, direction East, in Sherbrooke. A collision took place between the suspect vehicle, which was going down the highway in the wrong direction, and a motorcycle driven by a twenty year-old who received minor injuries. The suspect vehicle resembled an old-model, brown Dodge Caravan with damages to the front passenger side. The driver was a man of about 65 years of age. Anyone with information is asked to call 310-4141 or 4141.

On Tuesday morning, a little before 4:00 am, the police stopped a driver who had a suspended license on Principale East, in Magog. During their investigation, the police noticed that the driver had burglary tools with him and, after a verification with the Centre de renseignements policiers du Quebec, also learnt that he had an order from the Court not to have such tools in his possession. Besides the tools, an imitation revolver was found under the driver’s seat. A small quantity of hashish and methamphetamines was also found. The 27 year-old suspect from St-Francois-Xavierde-Brompton appeared later that morning at the Sherbrooke Courthouse to face the charges of possession of tools for burglary, simple possession of drugs and breaking probation. The suspect’s vehicle was seized for thirty days because his license was suspended.
