New Health Centre meetings in May
of the committee for the Massawippi Valley Health Centre, to be located in Ayer’s Cliff at the former site of the Café Main Street, have organized five public meetings to be held during the month of May so they may share all of the recent developments related to the much-needed and anxiously awaited initiative.
According to a communiqué, “the Centre is now a government-approved notfor-profit health cooperative owned by its members. Administrators and by-laws are in place. Health care workers are expressing interest to join, the building is ready for renovations and fund-raising is in progress.”
The dates and locations of the meetings are: May 10, Ayer’s Cliff Elementary School, 952 Sanborn, bilingual presentation; May 17, Stanstead College, Pierce Hall, bilingual presentation; May 24, Dominique Salvo School, 115 La Grande Rue, Ste-Catherine-de-Hatley, presentation French/questions bilingual; May 25, Stanstead Township Town Hall, 778 Sheldon, bilingual presentation; May 31, St. Elizabeth Church Hall, 3115 Capelton, North Hatley, bilingual presentation. Each meeting will be held between 10:00 am and noon.
