Mis­sisquoi River Band en­ter­tains at fi­nal state­house Farm­ers Night se­ries

North­ern Ver­mont’s Mis­sisquoi River Band wrapped up the fi­nal Farm­ers Night se­ries at state­house on April 16th to an en­thu­si­as­tic crowd. The event dou­bled as a re­lease party for their first CD Plenty of Heartaches that fea­tures 13 orig­i­nal songs.

“We were overwhelmed with the sup­port we re­ceived,” said bass player Cindy Weed, “and we hope to do this again next leg­isla­tive ses­sion.”

The event fea­tured Shel­don’s Patrick Mur­phy and Jim Weed of Enos­burg on vo­cals and gui­tar; Cindy Weed on vo­cals and bass; Will Pat­ton of Bak­ers­field on man­dolin and Na­tional Steel tenor gui­tar, Neil Rossi on fid­dle, and Matt Schrag on man­dolin.
