Sherbrooke reorganizes management
Sherbrookehas announced the creation of a new management structure following the advice of its new general director, Yves Vermette. The vacant position of Assistant General Director – Community service, will be replaced with two positions to better face the challenges of the coming years. The modifications will save the City roughly $60,000 annually. Some positions will be left vacant or occupied by senior employees.
Marie France Delage has been nominated as the DGA – Relations communautaire. Until now the director of sports, culture and community life, she will supervise the Boroughs, communication services and sports, culture and community life.
Gaetan Drouin was nominated the DGA – Optimisation et securite publique. The former fire department director has a mandate to replace the City’s Oracle program and begin an analysis of the operational and administrative processes.
“During the coming years we will begin numerous projects to optimize and revise our activities in order to reduce the level of municipal spending. The new structure will be reviewed in the coming years,” said Mr. Vermette.
