Sher­brooke Canada Games gives $31,500 to Ma­gog

TheCity of Ma­gog re­ceived a cheque of $31,500 from the Canada Games com­mit­tee for its con­tri­bu­tion to the suc­cess of the event, par­tic­u­larly for the in­vest­ments made to the base­ball field in the East Park.

The di­rec­tor gen­eral of theSher­brooke Canada Games, Michel Dus­sureault, pre­sented the cheque to mayor Vicki May Hamm on Mon­day say­ing: “the qual­ity of the sites of the com­pe­ti­tions and the ex­cep­tional col­lab­o­ra­tion of the equip­ment own­ers” con­trib­uted to the suc­cess of the Games.

Ma­gog’s mayor thanked the Canada Sum­mer Games or­ga­ni­za­tion for the recog­ni­tion and the coun­cil will de­cide in the com­ing weeks which sports ini­tia­tives will re­ceive some of the gift. “Sports projects are not lack­ing in Ma­gog. We will quickly find the best way to profit our cit­i­zens!” she said.

Mr. Dus­sureault also pre­sented a framed litho­graph by Ruben Ra­monda and three sou­venir medals to the mayor.
