Sherbrooke Canada Games gives $31,500 to Magog
TheCity of Magog received a cheque of $31,500 from the Canada Games committee for its contribution to the success of the event, particularly for the investments made to the baseball field in the East Park.
The director general of theSherbrooke Canada Games, Michel Dussureault, presented the cheque to mayor Vicki May Hamm on Monday saying: “the quality of the sites of the competitions and the exceptional collaboration of the equipment owners” contributed to the success of the Games.
Magog’s mayor thanked the Canada Summer Games organization for the recognition and the council will decide in the coming weeks which sports initiatives will receive some of the gift. “Sports projects are not lacking in Magog. We will quickly find the best way to profit our citizens!” she said.
Mr. Dussureault also presented a framed lithograph by Ruben Ramonda and three souvenir medals to the mayor.
