Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

As part of Coaticook’s 150th anniversary celebrations, the Coaticook MRC’s cultural committee (TCCC), in collaboration with the Beaulne Museum, will inaugurate the Jardin des Pionniers, this Sunday, at the Beaulne Museum. The special garden will be the latest stop on the Voie des pionniers, a circuit of sculptures of famous people who made history in the region. Coaticook mayor, Bertrand Lamoureux, will make a special presentation before the inauguration which will take place at 2:30 pm, after the performance by the Harmonie de Coaticook. Many other family activities will take place at the Museum, this Sunday, as part of the Beaulne Museum’s Journee Festive.

By car, motorcycle, bicycle or by foot, people can discover the countryside of this magnificent region while learning about historic figures. About twenty structures of these pioneers are scattered around the territory of the Coaticook MRC. With only the push of a button, visitors will go back in time and hear what these pioneers had to say.
