Road­work on 55

Work is be­ing done to re­pair the bridge that spans the Tomi­fo­bia River and the Boyn­ton Road on au­toroute 55 south. The bridge will be com­pletely closed in the south­ern di­rec­tion and traf­fic will be de­toured to the 55 north. The speed is re­duced to 80 km/hr in the north­ern di­rec­tion and 70 km/hr go­ing south. The width of the lane has been re­duced to 3.8 me­tres on the bridge of the au­toroute 55 north.

Be­tween May 26th and May 31st the Boyn­ton Road that runs un­der au­toroute 55 south will be com­pletely closed. There will be a ten kilo­me­tre de­tour via Dustin Road, Brown’s Hill Road and Main Street, in Ayer’s Cliff. There will be more clo­sures of the Boyn­ton Road be­fore all the work is fin­ished.

The work will take place be­tween May 23rd and Oc­to­ber 21st, 2014.
