Come celebrate 100th Anniversary of St. George’s
June 8th at 10 a.m., a special service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, in Ayer’s Cliff at 1002 Main Street, to celebrate the church’s first one hundred years. Reverend Barbara Wintle will be the Celebrant and Bishop Dennis Drainville will be the guest speaker. Also in attendance will be members of the Diocesan ACW which will conclude this year’s Biennial. History booklets about the church have been prepared and will be for sale for a small fee at the event.
“Norman and I have been members of the church for fifty-four years. We joined right after we were married. I’m quite excited about this anniversary; I actually still have the leaflet when the church’s 50th anniversary was celebrated,” said Reverend Wintle.
The service will be followed by a brunch held at Beulah United Church Hall, also on Main Street. Everyone is invited to both the special anniversary service and the brunch.
The 100th anniversary of St. George’s Anglican Church, in Ayer’s Cliff, will be celebrated this Sunday with Bishop Drainville as the Guest Speaker. Everyone is welcome.
