Memphremagog and Coaticook health centres to fuse
Followinga study done by Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton which was presented to the administrative boards of both the CSSS Memphremagog and the CSSS Coaticook, the two hospital health centres have decided to officially fuse in order to improve their services and reduce expenses. The consulting firm studied three scenarios: the status quo; the sharing of resources/regrouping; and fusion.
After discussing the elements of the report, the two boards opted for scenario number three, fusion. They will now make a formal request of voluntary fusion to the Agence de la santé de des services sociaux de l’Estrie (ASSSE) and to the Health and Social Services Ministry.
The administrative boards wish to highlight the remarkable work of the strategic joint committee that is made up of presidents, vice-presidents, two administrators and managers from the two establishments.
