Big weekend in Coat­i­cook

Coat­i­cook is host­ing a big, free event this Satur­day, hop­ing people will come from all over the re­gion to help them cel­e­brate their 150th an­niver­sary. The ‘’Grande fête du 150ème an­niver­saire de Coat­i­cook’’ will be­gin at noon in the mu­nic­i­pal park­ing lot at the cen­ter of town where there will be in­flat­able games for young ones and a Ty­ro­lian Ripride to thrill the older kids. Clowns, jug­glers and face painters will also be around to amuse ev­ery­one.

The spe­cial guests who will be per­form­ing with the Porn Flakes in the evening at the site have been an­nounced. Join­ing the Porn Flakes, who are known for host­ing lively and di­verse shows, on stage will be Marc Dupré, Rémi Chassé, Valérie La­haie, Lulu Hugues, Fred Lebel, Breen Le­boeuf and Joël De­nis. TeaBis­cuit will per­form the early show.

To kick things off on Fri­day, the silent movie clas­sic The Gen­eral, star­ring Buster Keaton, will be shown un­der the stars in Parc Chartier, be­gin­ning at 9:00 pm. This ac­tion com­edy, made in 1926, is of­ten re­garded as one of the great­est movies of all time!
