Time again for local art festival
The 12th edition of the Festival des arts Georgeville-Fitch Bay will soon reveal what the 36 artists at the 5 sites have been creating over this last year.
With 12 exhibitors new to the Festival you will be certain to be surprised and pleased with the fresh new vision they bring to an already stellar event! Join them at one of the five vernissages on Friday, July 18, 5p.m. to 8p.m.
Over the 9 days come and follow the well indicated route between the five sites, two in Fitch Bay, two in Georgeville and one in between. All sites are open from 10a.m. to 5p.m. from July 19th to July 27th (except on Sundays when Canon Gustin Hall, in Fitch Bay, is open from 2p.m. to 5p.m.).
Both Festival weekends will offer concerts. The first on Saturday, July 19th, 7 p.m., is ‘Valody Tent Party’ under the tent in downtown Georgeville, fees for admission. The second musical concert will take place on July 26th at 7p.m.: Charlotte Gagnon, mezzo soprano with Romain Pollet, on piano, at St.George’s Church in Georgeville, fees for admission.
Attend the live demonstrations most weekday afternoons, enjoy a pleasant lunch at one of the three local restaurants, explore the Jardins de Denyse and Bigelow Garden, stroll around the villages or drive the scenic roads between the villages and the sites. And while you’re in the area, why not visit the Colby Curtis Museum? An event not to be missed! For more details go to: festivaldesarts.net
