TheCanada/ USA Bridge Group pre­sented its an­nual fundrais­ing cheque, this time in the amount of $500, to the CAB RH Rediker on Tues­day. This in­ter­na­tion- al group of about twenty Bridge play­ers meets reg­u­larly in each other’s homes from Septem­ber to May, rais­ing money all the while for the CAB’s PACE pro­gram for chil­dren un­der five years of age. A big Bridge party is held in May to close the sea­son. If you’d like to join this group, call Jean Har­ris at 819 876-5937, or El­iz­a­beth Os­tiguy at 819 838-5830, two mem­bers who or­ga­nize the ac­tiv­i­ties along with Ca­role Em­slie, Faith Olsen and Gwen Berry.

The Viree Rose of the Que­bec Breast Can­cer Foun­da­tion stopped at the Expo de la Vallee de Coat­i­cook on Satur­day, pro­vid­ing in­for­ma­tion about breast health to women vis­it­ing their RV in the big­gest aware­ness cam­paign ever launched in Que­bec. This ini­tia­tive gave vis­i­tors the chance to test their knowl­edge and take part in ed­u­ca­tional ac­tiv­i­ties about breast health. The Viree Rose be­gan its province-wide tour in June.
