NCH Classic Continues to Raise Money for Healthcare Scholarships
Friday, August 8th, Orleans Country Club played host to North Country Hospital’s 26th Annual Healthcare Scholarship Golf Classic. 18 teams came out to showcase their skills and help support the NCH Healthcare Scholarship Fund.
The NCH Healthcare Scholarship Fund was created in 1989 and provides scholarships for area students pursuing a career in the healthcare field. Last year, the scholarship fund awarded over $30,000 in scholarships. Since its inception, the scholarship fund has awarded scholarships to over 250 individuals, many of whom have chosen to serve the community they grew up in and are now employed at North Country Hospital.
With the support of our generous sponsors and organizers, 72 golfers were assembled to participate in this event. It was a beautiful, sunny day and the course at Orleans Country Club was in pristine condition. The four person scramble began at 1pm and was followed by an awards ceremony at the clubhouse where prizes were awarded for low gross, net and mixed teams as well as longest drive and closest to the pin. It should be noted that Peter Lanoue aced the 13th hole.
North Country Hospital would like to thank the Board of directors, members and staff of the Orleans Country Club, the Golf Tournament Committee, Co-chairs Sandy Floersheim and Fran Smith and everyone who came out to support this great cause.
