Taking the dog for a walk

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

Some take the dog for an evening stroll, others for a walk up the beach. And then there is 66 year-old Réjean Hurtibise, of Chartierville, who thinks nothing of taking the dog out for a couple of hundred kilometers.

We caught up with them, Ricky is the companion’s name, between Coaticook and Compton last week as he was on the final miles of his journey. We had read the week before in the Barton Chronicle of his journey, if not we would have continued on our way, after all, there is nothing spectacular about an old man, a dog and a manmade wagon travelling around.

He had decided to go and visit his sister at a camping ground in Frelighsburg, yes, the one in Quebec, where he used to go years ago with his family. So he did so, going through Vermont and part of New-York.
