Lo­cal tal­ent on the Cen­ten­nial Stage dur­ing 5th edi­tion of Street Fes­ti­val

Cen­ten­ni­alThe­atre joins in to cel­e­brate the 5th edi­tion of the Len­noxville Street Fes­ti­val or­ga­nized by the Len­noxville Mer­chants’ Com­mit­tee on Satur­day, Au­gust 23 from 10:30 am to 3 pm. Lo­cal and re­gional artists will per­form on one of three stages set up for the oc­ca­sion and spon­sored by Global Ex­cel (Green Stage) and Cen­ten­nial The­atre (Red Stage).

The Red Stage, lo­cated on Queen Street in the park­ing lot between Provigo Robert La­fond and Fleuriste Len­noxville will fea­ture: Mistysa (world mu­sic), The Future Blues Band (jazz and blues quin­tet), Jesse Enns (folk), The John Speed Group (blues and folk).

The Coun­try Swingers (old time coun­try mu­sic), The Sin­gles (songs from the 50s and 60s), An­nam’s Fam­ily Trio (con­tem­po­rary jazz), and The Tony Scott Band (folk rock) will grace the Green Stage lo­cated in the park­ing lot next to the Len­noxville Bor­ough Town Hall. Lo­cal pian­ist Jan Gra­ham and friends will en­ter­tain au­di­ences on both stages in between acts while Rock­a­billy Bill Dier and his crew prom­ise to rouse fes­ti­val go­ers through­out the day on the White Stage lo­cated next to the Len­noxville Li­brary.

Come en­cour­age mer­chants and ar­ti­sans from Len­noxville and the sur­round­ing area. More than 100 booths to check out and sev­eral sur­prises on tap! Free ac­tiv­i­ties for the en­tire fam­ily: in­flat­able games and face­paint­ing for chil­dren huge garage sale as well as street per­for­mances.

Dur­ing the event, Queen Street between Col­lege and Academy streets will be closed to traf­fic and open to pedes­tri­ans only. This is the per­fect oc­ca­sion to ex­plore your com­mer­cial street!
