Ready to run, are you?
This year the Ashby buses will run over one million kilometers on their 41 routes. As is the case for all school bus contractors, their buses are fully inspected before classes start this week. They are safe, the drivers are qualified and you are too. Almost all of us follow the rules, giving headway to the bus ahead of us, stopping a good distance behind, checking three times rather than two when passing one and never, as in never, passing one when it is stopped. There are names for the few that don’t seem to realize how easy these rules are: One starts with an M with two O’s and ends with an N, another with eight letters starts with I and ends with E and, finally, there is Stu…, not student, STUPID.
Preparing a bus for services at the Ashby garage on Caron Road are mechanics Hugo
Bergeron and Jean-Rock Boutin.
