Musical Magog cadet touring Quebec

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

Magog’s Benoit Bourgeois has been touring Quebec thanks to his abilities on the clarinet. A member of the 219 Magog Cadets, Benoit is also a member of the Musique des Cadets de la Region de l’est (MCRE), a 45-piece orchestra made up of the best of the 2,500 cadet musicians from the Army, Navy and Air Force cadet corps. The orchestra will perform about fifty concerts throughout the summer, including at such popular events as the Festival d’Ete de Quebec and the Just for Laughs Festival.

The Cadet program is free for all young people, aged 12 to 18, and aims to develop a spirit of civil responsibility and leadership qualities as well as promote physical activity. For more information visit www.cadets.ca.
