Lacrosse Home Sweep High­lights Gaiters Event­ful Week­end

The women’s soc­cer team played some in­spired soc­cer in their two con­tests this week­end how­ever they fell to the na­tion­ally ranked Mon­treal Cara­bins 2-0 on Fri­day night in Lennoxville then lost 3-0 to McGill in Mon­treal on Sun­day.

The Gaiters women’s rugby team kicked­off for the third time in eight days this time against Car­leton on Sun­day. Bishop’s fell 77-0 to the Ravens. This came af­ter a 49-5 loss at Sher­brooke on Wed­nes­day night.

The Gaiters men’s rugby squad was in Mon­treal Sun­day for a con­test with the Con­cor­dia Stingers. Bishop’s grabbed an 11-10 half­time lead be­fore the hosts came roar­ing back in the se­cond half and won 34-21.

All the Gaiters teams have a busy week ahead. The big­gest game quite pos­si­bly could take place in Mon­treal on Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 17 when the Gaiters lacrosse squad trav­els to play McGill at 8:30 p.m. First place in the CUFLA East is on the line as the two teams are the lone un­de­feated ones and are tied atop the stand­ings.
