Im­pres­sive Start To E.T.I.A.C. Soc­cer Sea­son For Pipers

Vanessa Pax­ton scored a pair each. Nancy Dubeau’s team will have a huge chal­lenge this week as they face Stanstead Col­lege at home on Wed­nes­day and travel to Massey-Vanier Fri­day af­ter­noon.

The Ban­tam boys got off to a good start in their game against BCS when striker Justin School­craft scored five min­utes into the game. De­fender Roger Howard In­galls gave the boys from Galt a 2-0 lead when he scored on a di­rect kick just out­side the penalty box. Howard In­galls used his big leg again in the se­cond half when he scored on a cor­ner kick that went off a BCS de­fender. The Pipers played st­ingy de­fence the rest of half to claim a 3-0 vic­tory.

In the fi­nal game of the week the BCS Ju­nior boys de­feated Galt 3-1. The Bears jumped out to an early lead when Fred Abra­ham beat the Galt goal­keeper with a nice shot. The Bears ex­tended their lead in the se­cond half with goals from Josh Stan­ley and Lu­ciano Valani. Galt striker Matthew Cho­quette tried to make it game af­ter he con­verted a nice pass­ing play, but the BCS de­fence held its ground to pre­serve the 3-1 win.
