Road­work in area

Some drilling work is be­ing done on the bridge that crosses the Tomi­fo­bia River on route 141, in Ayer’s Cliff. Be­tween Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 24th, and Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 1st, one lane out of two will be closed from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

A cul­vert on the Nar­rows Road (route 247) in Stanstead Town­ship, about one kilo­me­tre south-west of the Fitch Bay Ma­rina, is be­ing re­built. The work will be done be­tween Mon­day, Septem­ber 22nd and Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 10th. The road will be com­pletely closed dur­ing the work and driv­ers will need to take a de­tour on the Mer­rill and Shel­don roads of about 13 kilo­me­tres.

Ditch­work is be­ing done all this week on the North Hat­ley road, be­tween Fel­ton and Al­fred-La­pointe, in Sher­brooke. The work will be done from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and driv­ers are asked to slow down in the area.
