Bridge closed in Stanstead East

Bridge re­pair work is be­ing done on au­toroute 55, di­rec­tion south, on the bridge that spans the Tomi­fo­bia River. The bridge will be com­pletely closed in the south­ern di­rec­tion and traf­fic will be two-way on the north­ern side. The speed limit is 80 km/hr in the north­ern di­rec­tion and 70 km/hr go­ing south. The max­i­mum width has been de­creased to 3.8 me­tres on the bridge in the north­ern di­rec­tion.

From Oc­to­ber 2nd, 5:00 am, to Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 3rd, 5:00 am, the Boyn­ton Road will be com­pletely closed un­der au­toroute 55 in the south­ern di­rec­tion. A de­tour of 10 kilo­me­tres will take Dustin Road, Brown’s Hill and Main Street, in Ayer’s Cliff.

The work will con­tinue un­til Novem­ber 17th, 2014.
