Stanstead Market ends Sunday
TheStanstead Market will be ending the season, this Sunday from 10:00 to noon, on the grounds of the Colby Curtis Museum. Food vendors will be selling fresh vegetables, apples, bison products, smoked fish products, honey products, home-baked goods, jams and jellies and imported olive oil. Artisans on site will have jewellery, stained glass, handmade soap and more. A bonus, shoppers can snack on hot samosas while they shop.
“Attendance has been down this year, we had a few rainy Sundays. So we’re trying to think of something different for next year and looking for suggestions,” said Bev Goodsell, one of the organizers of the Market. The organizers are also looking for vendors of certain products for next year, such as meat, cheese, fair trade coffee, antiques, and food that can be eaten on site such as pizza. “I think it would be nice if some of our shoppers had a place to sit in the shade and something to eat for a light lunch,’ explained Mrs. Goodsell. Anyone with suggestions for the Stanstead Market is welcome to call Mrs. Goodsell at 819 876-2475. Three generations can be found at the kiosk of the the Stanstead Market: his daughter and two of his grandchildren.
