Firstof four concerts in their North American Tour (Sherbrooke, Montreal, Toronto, New York)

Italian madrigals, Hebrew prayers and the instrumental music of Salomone Rossi (1570-1630). Recipient of the York Early Music International Artist Competition in 2011, the ensemble was founded in Galilea by Elam Rotem. Based in Switzerland, the quintet focuses on repertoire from the 16th and early 17th centuries and aims to create vivid and expressive performances for audiences today. The music of Salomone Rossi has played an important role in the works of the Profeti since its inception. The singers, who perform in the Hebrew, specialize in Italian Baroque music and found an immediate connection to the Jewish Italian composer. This current tour of North America will take them namely to the MOMA in New York.
