The Que­bec Ju­nior Hockey League an­nounced to­day the re­cip­i­ents of RBC play­ers of the week for the week end­ing Oc­to­ber 19th.

De­fen­sively, the honor went to goal

ten­der Shawn Ouel­let of Cougars du Col­lège Cham­plain de Sher­brooke, who re­ceives this honor for the 2nd time this sea­son. Dur­ing the past week, Ouel­let played a key role in the three wins of his team where he al­lowed 7 goals on 69 shots for a 2:33 goals against av­er­age and a .899% sav­ing per­cent­age. The 20-year-old goal­tender be­gan the past week by al­low­ing 3 goals on 26 shots in the 5-3 win at Saint-Jérôme, Wed­nes­day Oc­to­ber 15th. On Fri­day the 17, in the 1st game of a back to back se­ries against the Con­dors, he gave-up only 1 goal on 18 shots in a 2-1 vic­tory while two days later, in Sher­brooke, he al­lowed 3 goals on 25 shots in a 4-3 win. Over­all this sea­son, Ouel­let played in 11 games where he com­piled a record of 9 wins, 1 loss, al­lowed 29 goals on 247 shots in­clud­ing 1 shutout, a 2:70 goals against av­er­age and a .883% sav­ing per­cent­age. In the vot­ing, he beat out, goal­tender Kevin Darveau and de­fense­man Maxime L.-Dra­peau of Longueuil.
