3025 Sherbrooke Magog Stanstead College Juniors finish first RBC’s defensive player of the week
the honor went to goaltender Shawn Ouellet of Cougars du Collège Champlain de Sherbrooke, who receives this honor for the 2nd consecutive week and the 3rd time this season. During the past week, Ouellet played a key role in the three wins of his team where he allowed 6 goals on 90 shots for a 2:00 goals against average and a .933% saving percentage. The 19-year-old goaltender began the past week by allowing 2 goals on 30 shots in the 5-2 win at Granby, Thursday October 23rd. On Friday the 24, he gave-up only 1 goal on 26 shots in a 5-2 victory at Sainte-Agathe. Two days later, he allowed 2 goals on 34 shots in a 3-2 overtime win against Princeville. Overall this season, Ouellet played in 14 games where he compiled a record of 12 wins, 1 loss, allowed 35 goals on 337 shots including 1 shutout, a 2:55 goals against average and a .896% saving percentage. In the voting, he beat out, goaltender Francis Léonard-Mayer of Kahnawake and defenseman Alex Bourbeau of Princeville.
