In­ter­na­tional Games Day at the Goodrich Li­brary

On Novem­ber 15th from 11:00am to 2:30pm, the Goodrich Memo­rial Li­brary in New­port teams up with Bor­der Board Games to host In­ter­na­tional Games Day at your li­brary.

Stop by to play a va­ri­ety of games for all ages. There will be five lap­tops avail­able for Minecraft, board games for all ages, Star Wars X-Wings minia­tures, a role­play­ing gaming ta­ble, and a box of Le­gos to build your own ideas.

Ev­ery­one is wel­come to at­tend and there will be games suit­able for kids, teens and adults. Stop by and try some­thing new like Ticket to Ride or Cara­cas­sonne or play an old fa­vorite like Clue or Candyland. Bor­der Board Games will be there to teach any of the table­top games.

In­ter­na­tional Games Day @ your li­brary is an ini­tia­tive run by vol­un­teers from around the world and aus­piced by the Amer­i­can Li­brary As­so­ci­a­tion, in part­ner­ship with Nordic Game Day and the Aus­tralian Li­brary and In­for­ma­tion As­so­ci­a­tion, to re­con­nect com­mu­ni­ties through their li­braries around the ed­u­ca­tional, recre­ational, and so­cial value of all types of games.
