Learn Algonquin at book launch
Aunique book is being launched at the Haskell Library, this Saturday at 10:00 am, by Ogden resident Cynthia Castonguay. Recommended for children between 3 and 7 years of age, it is an audio book spoken in two languages: French and Algonquin! The book, which contains many illustrations, is about a seven year-old who describes how his native family lives in the wilderness. “It was written for young children but it is also a good way for older people to learn a little Algonquin!” said the author. The title of the book is: Otipi acitc Sikon – Racine et printemps. Everyone is welcome to attend the launch.
