Enjoy Spaghetti and support Sunnyside students
OnThursday, February 5th, put away your cooking utensils and head over to Sunnyside Elementary School for a home-cooked spaghetti dinner, put on to raise money for teacher Rebecca McKelvey’s grade 5/6 class’ end-of-year school trip.
Held in the school’s cafeteria, the students and parent volunteers will be serving up spaghetti, salads, bread, beverages and lots of homemade desserts. Mealtime will run from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and the cost is only $7.00 per person.
At the end of the school year, the students will go on an ‘Arbre en Arbre’ adventure and visit the Calypso Water Park, near Ottawa. “We’ve planned a two-day trip and the students will get to stay at a nice hotel overnight, one with a swimming pool. We’ll go there and back on a big bus,” said Ms. McKelvey.
