Paul Wolfe Wins the Boundary Rotary McDonald Award
TheMcDonald Award was donated by Ron and June Quigley in memory of Mac and Joan MacDonald. The award honors a Boundary Rotarian for an outstanding contribution to the club. Boundary Rotary member Paul Wolfe winner of the MacDonald Award.
Mac MacDonald was a long time member of Boundary and Governor of our Rotary District in 1986-1987. During World War II Mac was an air force pilot in Britain where he met Joan, the charming lady he married and brought back to Stanstead. Mac and Joan are shining examples of the rotary ideals.

Paul has been a member of Boundary since 1983 and was president in 1986-1987. Paul is a devoted member of the club. He opens the bookstore almost every month and is there early to accommodate those customers who arrive just after 8:00 despite the opening hours being listed as 9 o’clock.
Paul is always in attendance at the Camp Massawippi Rotary Carnival popping popcorn and helping with the activities. As well, he was club secretary for over ten years sending out almost fifty newsletters every year. Paul has also chaired the Vocational Scholarship Committee which administers the club’s two annual scholarships given to a student from Vermont and one from Quebec.
Paul was born in New York City and studied law at Kenyon College in Ohio. In 1965 he moved to Derby Line where he and his wife Lois have lived since. Since then Paul has practiced law in Newport and is a well known figure in the area.

Paul was teased a little about his three trademarks: a classic LL Bean jacket and his love of martinis and poutine.
