Mac MacDonald was a long time member of Boundary and Governor of our Rotary District in 1986-1987. During World War II Mac was an air force pilot in Britain where he met Joan, the charming lady he married and brought back to Stanstead. Mac and Joan are shining examples of the rotary ideals.

and Rotarian Ron Quigley.

Paul has been a member of Boundary since 1983 and was president in 1986-1987. Paul is a devoted member of the club. He opens the bookstore almost every month and is there early to accommodate those customers who arrive just after 8:00 despite the opening hours being listed as 9 o’clock.

Paul is always in attendance at the Camp Massawippi Rotary Carnival popping popcorn and helping with the activities. As well, he was club secretary for over ten years sending out almost fifty newsletters every year. Paul has also chaired the Vocational Scholarship Committee which administers the club’s two annual scholarships given to a student from Vermont and one from Quebec.

Paul was born in New York City and studied law at Kenyon College in Ohio. In 1965 he moved to Derby Line where he and his wife Lois have lived since. Since then Paul has practiced law in Newport and is a well known figure in the area.

Paul and Lois did not know beforehand that Paul had won the award and were completely surprised. Ron Quigley presented the award and the club enjoyed a PowerPoint showing Paul at various Rotary activities. Rotarians Paul Wolfe

and Ron Quigley.

Paul was teased a little about his three trademarks: a classic LL Bean jacket and his love of martinis and poutine.

Paul Wolfe is a fine Rotarian who understands well, “Service above self.” Paul and Lois Wolfe at the presentation of the MacDonald Award
