Au­berge em­ployee gets house ar­rest for fraud

Ac­cord­ingto a re­port that ap­peared in Sher­brooke’s La Tri­bune last week, Nathalie Gre­nier, an em­ployee of the Au­berge Ayer’s Cliff, pleaded guilty at the Sher­brooke Court House to com­mit­ting fraud in the amount of $42,500. The ac­cused cited per­sonal fi­nan­cial prob­lems as the rea­son for tak­ing money from the video poker ma­chines in the restau­rant and must spend six months un­der house ar­rest, al­lowed to leave only to go to work. The own­ers of the Au­berge Ayer’s Cliff agreed that she could pay the amount back over a pe­riod of ten years.
