Lastweek, The egie de olice Me hre agog (RPM) carried out a search for illegal drugs in an apartment on College Street, in Magog. During the search, two men were on site, the principal suspect, a 49 year-old man, and a 26 year-old man. They were arrested for possession and trafficking drugs. Seized during the search was 575 methamphetamine pills, 15 grams of cannabis oil, weigh scales, a list of clients and $425 in cash.
On Saturday evening, at around 7:45 pm, the RPM received a 9-1-1 call from a security guard at the CSSS Memphremagog. The guard had surprised an individual who was armed with a pair of scissors in the hemodialysis unit which he had broken into. The suspect fled after stealing some narcotics and office equipment. The police found the suspect’s tracks in the snow and followed them to an apartment building on Principale West where they found the suspect and the stolen goods, along with stolen goods from other crimes. The twenty year-old was taken into custody.
On Monday afternoon there was an accident at the intersection of Pomerleau and Sherbrooke, in Magog. The two cars involved were travelling at slow speeds and received little damage, however, one of the passengers felt a lot of pain in their neck and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.
