Art ex­hibit and sale

Cul­tural and Her­itage Cen­tre, in as­so­ci­a­tion with CRDITED Estrie and Dixville Home Foun­da­tion, is very proud to bring you its 10th an­nual ex­hibit un­veil­ing works of art pro­duced by artists living with an in­tel­lec­tual hand­i­cap. This cul­tural event held dur­ing the Que­bec In­tel­lec­tual Dis­abil­ity Week will begin with a Vernissage from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wed­nes­day March 11 at Up­lands.

Comme on se ressem­ble is an en­rich­ing ex­pe­ri­ence, which in­vites the com­mu­nity not only to share in the cre­ativ­ity and ex­pres­sion of th­ese artists, but to con­trib­ute to the recog­ni­tion and ap­pre­ci­a­tion of their works. The open­ing night is filled with a gen­uine cel­e­bra­tory at­mos­phere. This event presents an op­por­tu­nity for the artists to share their works, and wel­come the feel­ings of pride and ad­mi­ra­tion which are evoked in their fam­ily, friends and the public at large. This event ex­em­pli­fies a com­mu­nity at its best.

The artists them­selves will be mak­ing a spe­cial ap­pear­ance at the vernissage to show­case their works of art. Vis­i­tors will have the op­por­tu­nity to pur­chase and bring home unique pieces of art adding to the en­cour­age­ment and en­thu­si­asm of the artists.

The art ex­hibit Comme on se ressem­ble will be open to the public from Wed­nes­day, March 11 to Sun­day, March 22, 2015. Up­lands’ open­ing hours are Wed­nes­day to Sun­day from 1-4:30 p.m. The Up­lands Cul­tural and Her­itage Cen­ter is sit­u­ated at 9 Speid Street, Bor­ough of Lennoxville, in the City of Sher­brooke
