Stanstead Town­ship cel­e­brates the sea­son

Stanstead­Town­ship held its Fête des Neiges in Thayer Park on Satur­day, Fe­bru­ary 18th, in the af­ter­noon. The fun in­cluded a friendly broomball game be­tween the Stanstead Town­ship fire­fight­ers and the Stanstead fire­fight­ers, sled rides, a bon­fire, horse rides, and sugar on snow. All of the food was free in­clud­ing the hot­dogs pro­vided by Marché Gau­dreau. The event is or­ga­nized by the vol­un­teers of Ac­tion Com­mu­nau­taire du Can­ton de Stanstead (ACCS) and is fi­nan­cially sup­ported by the mu­nic­i­pal­ity.

Café Bar Sans Fron­tieres held its sec­ond an­nual fundraiser for the Lennoxville Pet Con­nec­tion ser­vice founded and run by Jen­nifer Young, owner of the Blue Seal pet sup­plies store and seen here in the photo. Over $2,100 was raised at the dance that fea­tured the band Slightly Hag­gard and with the on­line Si­lent Auc­tion. Or­ga­niz­ers plan to re­peat the event next year.
