Support teams walking for kidney health
March 12 is World Kidney Day. The Foundation invites everyone to have a glass of water as a symbolic gesture to stress the essential role of kidneys. One out of 14 people in Québec suffers from kidney disease. With public support through its fund raising activities, the Foundation funds research and offers training and support to patients. Bernard Sévigny (on left) enrolls his team on the website of Kidney Walk 2015. Mayor of Sherbrooke, Mr. Sévigny is the honorary chairman of the 2015 Kydney Walk in the Eastern Townships. He is shown here with Richard Lavallée, who donated a kidney to his son Marc-Antoine in 2014, and Josée Parenteau, president of the Eastern Townships section of the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
