CIUSSS-CHUS CEO announces nomination of assistant
The recently appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) de l’Estrie – Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS), Ms. Patricia Gauthier, was proud to announce the nomination by Minister Barrette of Ms. Johanne Turgeon as Assistant President and CEO.
Ms. Gauthier stressed her new assistant’s qualifications: “Ms. Turgeon contributed in rallying all the region’s interveners to prepare for the upcoming transformations to the network on April 1st. We can count on a top-rate administrator who has several years’ experience in management in our network, since she was associate general director of the
Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de l’Estrie, then general director up until now.”
With this nomination, Gauthier continued, “We have a strong core for rallying a team of seasoned administrators. We know the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS’ new territory, which includes current Estrie establishments plus those of the CSSS La Pomeraie and the CSSS Haute-Yamaska, carries an important number of competent people who will join the team in the coming weeks. We are confident that the upcoming transition will be implemented without impacting on services to users.”

Ms. Johanne Turgeon was nominated by Minister Barrette as the new Assistant President and CEO of the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS.
