Launchedin Au­gust 2012, the Orchestre Na­tional de Jazz is an en­sem­ble with var­i­ous com­bi­na­tions, ded­i­cated to pro­gram­ming the global reper­toire of orches­tral jazz. The ONJ’s mission aims to priv­i­lege and stim­u­late aware­ness, the devel­op­ment and the pre­sen­ta­tion of orches­tral jazz mu­sic of all eras through a range of pro­duc­tions, con­certs and record­ing ses­sions fea­tur­ing a core of per­ma­nent mu­si­cians; a rare oc­ca­sion to wit­ness the tal­ent of Que­bec’s jazz elite. Over 16 mu­si­cians will present a reper­toire that will be re­vealed soon.
