They­oung & not so young hosted a Bingo ben­e­fit the Re­lay For Life (Can­cer). This year even though we were few in num­bers ev­ery­one had a great time. Many went home with more than one prize.

Our caller was Robert Shel­don, who called in both French & English. He played a spe­cial game just for the chil­dren, so ev­ery child could win a prize. Thank you Robert for do­ing a great job!

We held a give­away of spe­cial prizes, where lots of peo­ple took home gifts. Some claimed more than one.

We want to thank ev­ery­one who came out to sup­port us. – 82, born in Paris, On­tario Canada, passed away peace­fully on March 21st, 2015. June was born on May 15th 1932 to Harry and Hephz­ibah Firth. She and her hus­band Ron­ald E. Quigley mar­ried in Toronto, On­tario on July 24th 1954. June and Ron moved to the North­east King­dom in De­cem­ber 1962. June loved North­ern Ver­mont and made it her adopted home, even­tu­ally be­com­ing a U.S. Cit­i­zen. She was a com­mit­ted vol­un­teer and ac­tive leader in groups such as: The Troop leader of the Ju­nior and Se­nior Girl Scouts of Derby Line, Artist and cre­ative Art Teacher at NCUHJHS, Pres­i­dent, Vice Pres­i­dent, and Ways and Means Chair­per­son of the North Coun­try Hos­pi­tal Aux­il­iary, founded the Fairy God­mother group sup­port­ing the pre­emie ba­bies of Or­leans County. June’s other ac­tiv­i­ties in­cluded membership in the Four Sea­sons Gar­den Club of Or­leans County, Pres­i­dent of the New­port Women’s Club, Vice Pres­i­dent of the Mem­phrem­a­gog His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, a mem­ber of the Board of Di­rec­tors of Old Stone House, Brown­ing­ton, and she re­ceived distinc­tion in the Ro­tary Club as Paul Har­ris Fel­low. Her love, cre­ativ­ity, theme par­ties and ap­ple pies will be deeply missed by her lov­ing fam­ily, Hus­band Ron, Sis­ters Sylvia Mitchell and Norma Suko­rnyk, Sis­ters-in-law Mar­garet Quigley and Mar­ion Quigley, Daugh­ters Va­lerie Strunjo and hus­band Tom, Jen­nifer Lilly, Sons, Gor­don Quigley and wife Jeane, Bruce Quigley and wife Lisa, 12 grand­chil­dren, 3 great grand­chil­dren, many nieces and neph­ews and many dear friends both near and far. We will miss you Mom! The cel­e­bra­tion of June’s life will be on April 11th, 2015, with call­ing hours from 1 to 2 p.m. and the ser­vice to fol­low at Curtis-Britch- Con­verseRush­ford Fu­neral Home at 4670 Dar­ling Hill Road, New­port.
