On 19th April 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cen­ten­nial Theater in Lennoxville, the mu­sic of Les Fusiliers de Sher­brooke will hold a fundrais­ing con­cert to ben­e­fit the Re­source Cen­ter for mil­i­tary fam­i­lies in the Eastern Town­ships, to sup­port our vet­er­ans and the Cadet Groups Mu­si­cal Bands in Sher­brooke. The con­cert will be presided over by Mr. Claude Mé­tras.

For that oc­ca­sion, the Korean Am­abas­sador will present the Am­bas­sador for Peace Medal to eight Korean War vet­er­ans. Four vet­er­ans will be rec­og­nized posthu­mously. The re­cip­i­ents are Messrs. Gilles Gagné, Ralph MacPher­son, Charles Henri Val­lière and Alphonse Pel­letier. Mes­dames Si­mone Brousseau, Thérèse Jolin, Noëlla La­gacé, Ré­jeanne Dufresne and Line Fecteau will re­ceive posthu­mously the Am­bas­sador of Peace Medal on be­half of the de­ceased mil­i­taries which will be pre­sented di­rectly from the hands of the Con­sul Gen­eral and Per­ma­nent Rep­re­sen­ta­tive to the Coun­cil of ICAO, his Ex­cel­lency Mr. Jin Hur.

The fol­low­ing dis­tin­guished guests will be present: Ma­jor-Gen­eral (re­tired) Alain Forand, Hon­orary Colonel of the Royal 22nd Reg­i­ment, Mrs. Diane Tardif from the Depart­ment of Vet­er­ans Af­fairs and Mr. Pierre-Luc Dus­sault, Fed­eral Deputy for Sher­brooke.

The Army, Navy and Air Force Vet­er­ans in Canada are invit­ing all of you to come to this mu­si­cal event which will def­i­nitely please you and also, to par­tic­i­pate in the cer­e­mony by the Korean Repub­lic to rec­og­nize those vet­er­ans. Th­ese vet­er­ans fought along with 15 other coun­tries to pre­serve those val­ues that we be­lieve in as a na­tion: peace, lib­erty and jus­tice.
