Rotary Club Of The Boundary
TheClub has named these scholarships “The Paul Lucas Vocational Scholarships”, in memory of Paul, a teacher, who was instrumental in suggesting these awards.
These awards will be based on the applicants’ financial need, scholastic record, demonstrated dedication and desire to pursue a vocational career, and the recommendations of the school guidance personnel and teachers. Each chosen recipient will be awarded $750.00, payable to the educational institution from which they have been accepted. The Rotary Club of the Boundary, will make the final selection from the applications received, and students will be guests of the club to receive their award.
Applicants may make formal application by submitting a letter, outlining the career goals, and a description of community activities they have been involved in and why Rotary should support their continuing studies. This letter must be accompanied by a transcript of their grades, as well as a letters of recommendation from a teacher, and a letter from a member of their community.
