Coat­i­cook man’s cargo not so sweet

Boutin, a 46 year-old man from Coat­i­cook, was ar­rested at the Que­bec/Ver­mont bor­der, on April 6th, af­ter Canada Bor­der Ser­vice Agency of­fi­cers found 93 kilo­grams of co­caine in his ve­hi­cle. The co­caine, worth ap­prox­i­mately $10 mil­lion, was al­legedly found in 52 packets in­side maple syrup cans when he tried to re-en­ter Canada at the Here­ford Road bor­der cross­ing in St. Hermenegilde. He has been charged with pos­ses­sion and im­port­ing an il­le­gal sub­stance.
